I’m trying to work out what this font is, I’m sure I recognise it but I could be wrong and it could well be hand-drawn. I’ve tried the Identifont questionnaire but no joy.
Does it ring any bells with anyone?

It certainly wont help with that image, but if you had a graphic (ie not photo) of the font then a good site is WhatTheFont! « MyFonts
Fairly certain it is Windsor - the 'W' and the 'f' would clinch it!!
I think you’re right. It’s certainly near enough anyway!
Thanks very much!

OK, this one’s tricky as I could only get three letters and had to take a picture at range on a cloudy day (it’s from a pub sign). I’ve tried identifont, fonts.com and whatthefont but no joy unfortunately.
Does this leap into anyone’s mind straight away? Fairfield and Lucida Casual were spat out by the above websites but weren’t quite right. Rotis Semi Serif isn’t a million miles apart from lacking the italic-ish style of it.
Edit: I should add that the rest of the words on the sign are in Palatino - whether there’s some weird variation of it that I don’t have?
