I've (kind of) made my own font, in that I have a very basic idea of the final thing. I might be jumping the gun a bit, but when I have the finished thing, how do I go about getting it on my computer?

Scanning maybe? How have you done it? Wouldn't you need to use a specialist font software and redraw it? (Over your scans?)
