Why, oh why do people give work away (or buy future work!)? We've just done a complicated quote for some Wedding Invites with diecutting and CD covers etc and the client had phoned (at least she did that) to say that a print company is giving them to her! Could have just made up a price!

I'm thankful of the work but why not get the designer who did the logo to work up the stationary too? I hate sloppy seconds :(

That irritates me. If the designer was good enough to do the logo why not throw all of the work their way?

The simple answer to shitty web 2.0 style logos is due to shitty design crowd style logo sites. If you look through the entries (wont even call them designs), 99% all use gradients, a shine or 2 and other dopey effects :icon_cursing:

Amen. I gonna start charging an extra £50 per effect on designs in future.

That includes;

• Glossy effects
• Glows
• Drop Shadows
• Gradients

So, I quote the man for some letterheads on Conqueror as last time he had them...

First we get back "Does the price halve if I have half as many?"....

Requote for various quantities... and we get an email back "If I go for the 2500 would you through in some business cards?" (OK he can't spell! Blooming architect!) Cards are also two colour on Conqueror board!

Go back with the good news that he can pay for his cards and then... silence.

I wonder what he throws in for free!
