Hi there everyone!
I hope I can describe this properly... i am designing a logo and the client wants an abstract house shape that has the back ground of brick. I have the house but it is red in colour... how do I take an image of a brick wall and merge the house so that the brick wall is actually the house texture not the solid red? Thanks Cheri: |

You could try having the brick layer over the red layer and use a layer state like multiply or screen to get the desired effect.

More importantly. A logo should never be designed in Photoshop because of the pixels. By creating the house in Illustrator and then placing in to Photoshop (as a smart object) you can then use the blending mode techniques and get the desired effect whilst maintaining a high quality logo.
Overlay blending mode is great! |
